ElectroMediaWorks opens its doors for the first time to the public this year in May. For that reason the organizers have invited to participate at the festival some of the most prominent performers and composers of contemporary electroacoustic music of our time. Along with their recitals there is two retrospectives in Memory of Karlheinz Stockhausen and Iannis Xenakis.
Concert - Retrospective in memory of Karlheinz Stockhausen
The concert includes the production of "Capricorn" (K. Stockhausen) along with the world premier of four compositions written by five composers dedicated to K. Stockhausen. The concept of the concert belongs Gerard Pape and Nicholas Isherwood two collaborators of K. Stockhausen while the composer was still alive. This retrospective will premier in Athens Greece and will be included at the EMW program, it is also programmed to be presented in USA, France and Spain.

The institute for digital arts is a nonprofit organisation for creative people in Sweden. Located north of Stockholm in the small town Gavle IDKA gathers 200 artists, filmmakers and composers of music. IDKA does concerts and performance art on their own stage Kulturkiosken and exhibitions at their own artgallery. The founder of IDKA Thomas Bjelkeborn and the current manager Viktor Eriksson will do a presentation of IDKA in both a talk and concerts .
